Duties

Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and record monthly vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure health stability Assist in the self administration of medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols under supervision or according to facility policies Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia by implementing specialized techniques for behavior management and engagement Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately and promptly for seamless communication among healthcare teams.

Skills

Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and behavioral support strategies Ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities or other special needs Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration procedures Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and team members Ability to handle emergency situations calmly using first aid skills when necessary
