Job Title: Night Shift Caregiver (12-Hour Shifts)

Full-Time Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts (overnight) : 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Wage:

$15 - $16 per hour

Job Summary:

As a Night Shift Caregiver, you will provide essential overnight care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You'll assist with activities of daily living, monitor health and safety, and respond to emergencies with calm, compassionate care. This role is ideal for caregivers who excel in quiet, person-centered support during overnight hours.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living during the night (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming) as needed Monitor safety and well-being; perform routine safety checks (lighting, fall prevention, call lights) and document changes Support nighttime routines (medication reminders per care plans, bedtime routines) Respond promptly to call bells and emergencies; provide basic first aid and crisis response as trained Assist with light meal/snack preparation as appropriate for overnight needs Record accurate notes on care provided, sleep patterns, vitals if applicable, and any concerns in the resident's chart Communicate effectively with nursing staff, supervisors, and families Follow individualized care plans, policies, and procedures; maintain resident confidentiality and dignity

Qualifications:

Prior caregiving experience preferred; experience with elderly or disabled adults in assisted living settings a plus High school diploma or equivalent CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a compassionate, patient demeanor Must pass background check and maintain a positive, professional attitude Physical ability to assist residents (transfers, positioning) within scope of certification and facility policies Availability to work 12-hour nights; flexibility for occasional overtime or Monday shifts as needed
