We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism. Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of patient safety and privacy standards.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment
Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans
Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively
Observe and report changes in residents' health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia
Follow established care plans and protocols for specific conditions like hospice or palliative care
Ensure compliance with safety standards including CPR and first aid procedures
Requirements
Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety oversight
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including group homes or community care environments
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's/dementia care, or memory care is advantageous
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed; prior experience in long-term or senior care is beneficial
