Responsibilities
Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide attentive patient observation to monitor health changes and report findings promptly
Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through routine cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and safety
Use proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and prevent injuries
Document vital signs, patient observations, and care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
Engage in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans that support residents' well-being
Qualifications
Prior experience in assisted living, home health, nursing home, or long-term care settings preferred
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration
Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
Experience working with people with disabilities or special needs such as autism or dementia is highly valued
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in caregiving duties
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams
