We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in need of personal care and assistance. Responsibilities
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly.
Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts, ensuring safety during transfers.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning rooms, laundry, and common areas.
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Follow established care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and personalized support
Requirements
Proven experience in home & community care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary.
Strong understanding of medication administration procedures following prescribed care plans.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's), autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is highly desirable.
Certification in CPR and First Aid from recognized organizations is required; additional certifications such as hospice or hospice care training are a plus.
Excellent communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward caregiving roles.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overnight shifts as needed.
