Position: Career Exploration Lab Teacher

Reports to:

Administrative Team (Principal and Assistant Principal)

Purpose:

To promote unique life goals, interpersonal skills, and student leadership for students in kindergarten
through fifth grade based on the RSS Directional System.

Qualifications:

Must hold a current and valid professional educator license. Ability to foster positive rapport
in schools and community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and design age-appropriate instruction for kindergarten through fifth grade students to explore and connect with their unique life goals and career interests. Promote the exploration of student interests through engaging and relevant lessons. Provide engaging activities to build interpersonal and leadership skills. Build community support, partnerships, and outreach. Flexible schedule which may include some evening meetings and workshops. Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons on career clusters that incorporate student interests, helping students explore diverse career opportunities and understand how their learning connects to their future pathways. Create hands-on activities that engage students in problem solving, teamwork, and creativity. Introduce foundational concepts in

arts, communication, business, marketing, STEM, healthcare, human services, agriculture and natural resources

through interactive projects and experiences. Organize guest speakers, field trips, or virtual career experiences to connect students with real-world professionals. Promote accessibility in career education, ensuring all students feel empowered to pursue their interests. * Other duties as assigned by the principal.
