Responsible for the successful functioning of the nursing support staff in the ambulatory/physician\'s office. Assists the Site Manager with ensuring the office activities are consistent with the corporate goals and objectives. Promotes the team approach to health care. Responsible for patient flow, nursing procedures, triage and protocols. Performs duties as delegated within the scope of education and validated competencies. Performs clerical functions and environmental duties to support team objectives.

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a strong customer-service orientation. Ability to handle patient and organizational information in a confidential manner.

What Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will do:
  • Room set up and patient preparation and take vitals
  • Triage, provide nursing consultation and perform follow-up and care coordination
  • Draw blood and give injections and immunizations
  • Perform office tests
  • Administrative duties
What Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will need:
  • Graduate of an approved accredited LPN program.
  • Current Practical Nurse license in the State of Michigan, in good standing.
  • This is not a fit for a new grad LPN without prior healthcare experience.
  • BLS/CPR Certified through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • One to two years of clinical experience in a medical or physician office.
  • Basic business office, clinical skills, and computer skills.
  • Experience using EMR, Athena preferred, also familiarity with Cerner.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm.
  • Bilingual fluent in speaking Spanish/English welcomed! Second language preferred.
