Registered Nurse
to provide crucial, individualized nursing care in our long-term care setting on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will apply the full scope of the nursing process--assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation--to manage and deliver comprehensive care. This position requires competency in various clinical settings and the ability to effectively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Process Application:
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
Collaboration and Planning:
Actively collaborate with residents, their families, providers, and other inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
Scope of Practice:
Demonstrate clinical competency and practice fully within the expertise and knowledge of professional nursing, applying appropriate age and population-specific standards.
Care Coordination:
Assume responsibility for the coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other essential nursing interventions.
Leadership and Delegation:
May serve in the capacity of a charge nurse, appropriately delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competency levels.
Support and Oversight:
Provide necessary assistance and support to delegated staff to ensure the safe and reliable administration of resident care and the prompt resolution of any service concerns.
Professional Standards:
Function strictly within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of licensure, adhering to the American Nurses Association's Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Requirements
License:
Currently holds an
unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multi-state licensure privileges if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Experience in a long-term care or similar clinical setting.
