JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, provides professional-level administrative, patient advocacy, operational and organizational services to AHS' Sexual Assault Response and Recovery Team; plans and conducts a variety of studies and inquires and facilitates the implementation of a wide variety of programs and projects; provides direct services to patients as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor and advocate.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

• Administers or coordinates the administration of personnel services (including scheduling), timekeeping, contracts, and grant adherence
• Coordinates purchasing activities; acts as liaison with Purchasing; researches capital purchases against grant provisions and makes recommendations; ensures that proper funds are debited and invoices approved; follows-up with vendors as required.
• Interprets and applies a variety of policies, rules and regulations, and grant provisions; provides information.
• Performs such administrative tasks as modifying policies and procedures, acting as the office automation administrator, and coordinating activities of the unit.
• Plans and conducts administrative or operational studies; determines information gathering processes; obtains required information for analysis; evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations; prepares reports and makes presentations.
• Plans, oversees, reviews and performs a variety of administrative services such as outreach and education, advocacy, and training and education.
• Prepares a variety of correspondence; periodic and special reports, policies, procedures and other written materials.
• Represents the department or agency and acts as liaison with other departments, representatives of other public and private organizations, program participants and the public; serves on a variety of committees and task forces.
• Review a variety of documents related to the operations of the unit for conformance to program regulations and procedures; researches and makes corrections as required.
• Serves as the departmental personnel officer or provides support to the personnel function; interprets rules and regulations and memoranda of understanding; may coordinate payroll, training, personnel record keeping or similar functions.
• Serve as a department mentor to staff and volunteers and provide guidance and consultation.
• Performs direct services as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Counselor.
• Coordinate and assist with Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence certification and continuing education trainings.
• Provide backup coverage and oversight for the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Team.
• Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Required Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university (180 quarter units or 120 semester units) with major coursework in Business, Public Administration, or a field related to the work.
Required Experience: One year providing direct patient care including crisis intervention, intensive case management, utilizing a variety of evidence-based intervention.
Required Experience: Two years experience in planning and conducting administrative, operational and organizational studies, grants management, sexual assault and domestic violence counseling and advocacy and providing varied administrative support.
Preferred Experience: One year as a Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence Counselor/Advocate.
Required Licenses/Certifications: State Certified Sexual Assault and/or Domestic Violence Counselor. Candidate will be required to be certified within 6 months after date of hire.
Required Licenses/Certifications: State certified as a Sexual Assault and/or Domestic Violence Counselor (Incumbent without the Certification will be required to obtain the certification within six months after the date of hire).
PAY RANGE
$42.49 per hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
