: Care Associate I

Position Overview

Tranquil Grove is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Associate I. This role is ideal for those interested in a career in caregiving, providing essential support to residents in our residential care facility. As a Care Associate I, you will assist with daily personal care needs, contribute to meal preparation, and perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents. This role requires Level 1 Medication Aide certification. The position involves flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

We are currently hiring up to 5 part-time employees. Part-time employees who excel in their responsibilities may be offered full-time employment after a period of performance assessment. We do not currently hire directly into full-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to residents, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Assist with meal preparation and serving, following dietary guidelines and ensuring nutritious, home-style meals as needed. Perform part-time housekeeping duties, such as cleaning resident rooms, common areas, laundry, and maintaining overall facility cleanliness. Monitor residents' well-being, report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors, and assist with basic activities of daily living (ADLs, which are routine tasks like eating, bathing, and dressing with which residents may need assistance). Foster a positive, respectful atmosphere by engaging residents in conversations, activities, and companionship. Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control measures, and facility policies to promote resident health and security. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions and high-quality care delivery. Participate in ongoing training sessions to develop skills in caregiving and facility operations.

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Reliable transportation is required.

Level 1 Medication Aide certification is required

. Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and reliable demeanor. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and assisting with resident transfers. Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices; willingness to learn basic cooking and housekeeping techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
