Cardio-diagnostic Technician
to join our
Cardiopulmonary Lab
team!
The Cardio-diagnostic Technician provides quality cardiac diagnostic services including ECG, heart monitor testing, patient education, operation of the MUSE application and device patient enrollment. The population served are neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This role can interpret patient information and understand treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care. This position requires close collaboration with nursing and healthcare providers. It also requires a high level of customer service skills to aid in establishing positive relationships.
HOURS:
Part Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period. Day shift with call rotation
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices acquired through completion of courses in college level physical and biological sciences and/or completion of a CNA training program or an EMT training program.
Courses in ECG basic interpretation beneficial.
Six months or more experience in cardio-diagnostics.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and use of a personal computer.
Certified Cardiovascular Technician desired.
Completes Basic ECG class and passes with 85% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.
