Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ECG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) and assisting in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiac physiology, medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within interventional cardiology and emergency medicine settings.

Duties

Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) on patients to assess heart function and detect abnormalities. Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures in the cath lab, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Monitor and record vital signs during procedures, providing critical data for patient assessment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in interventional radiology and emergency medicine to support patient care. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret ECG results and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning of ECG machines and related devices. Document patient information accurately, adhering to medical terminology standards. Provide support in a Level I or Level II trauma center environment, responding effectively to urgent care needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an ECG Technician or similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting. Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization, telemetry, interventional cardiology, and sonography techniques. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and practices within a trauma center environment is highly desirable. Excellent understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology and diagnostic procedures. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Certification as an ECG Technician or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory. Pay: Up to $25.85 per hour
