Job Description

The Card Services Associate plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations and branch support and service functions related to banking card products, including debit, credit cards, and ATMs. This position ensures the accurate processing of card transactions, maintenance of ATM networks, and compliance with banking regulations to safeguard both the credit union and its members. The associate acts as a liaison between vendors and internal departments to resolve card-related inquiries and issues efficiently and professionally. By maintaining detailed records and utilizing banking software, the role contributes to the smooth functioning of retail banking services. Ultimately, the Card Services Associate helps enhance member satisfaction and trust by delivering reliable and timely card services within the credit union.

Minimum Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent 2 years' experience with banking systems and software related to card processing and operations or customer service environment

Preferred Qualifications:



Associate degree or higher in finance or related field preferred. Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment, specifically in card services or operations. Strong understanding of banking regulations and retail banking products. Familiarity with ATM network management and credit card processing workflows. Knowledge of fraud detection and prevention techniques related to card services.

Responsibilities:



Process and monitor debit and credit card transactions accurately using banking systems and software. Respond promptly to support inquiries regarding card services, providing clear and effective communication. Maintain and update records related to card accounts, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with banking regulations. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve card disputes, fraud alerts, and operational issues. Assist in training and guiding customers on the use of card services and banking software. Ensure adherence to retail banking policies and procedures in all card service activities.

Skills:




The Card Services Associate utilizes banking software, Microsoft Excel daily to create reports, track transactions, and maintain accurate records. Maintaining attention to detail is essential when processing card transactions and updating member information to prevent errors and ensure compliance with banking regulations. Proficiency in banking systems and software enables the associate to efficiently manage card operations and resolve technical issues. Effective written and oral communication skills are critical for interacting with customers and internal teams to address inquiries and provide clear guidance. Knowledge of debit and credit card processes, ATM networks, and retail banking products supports the associate in delivering comprehensive and reliable card services. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment needed.

Minimum Physical Requirements

:

Sit for prolonged periods at a desk, working on a computer. Reach, bend, twist and turn frequently. Lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds on occasion. We'll make reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants and employees with disabilities.

Benefits and Pay:




The expected pay range for Card Services Associate is $20 - $22 per hour.
