Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for providing high-quality painting services in an automotive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto body repair and painting, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and techniques used in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary. Apply paint using airless paint spraying techniques, ensuring an even and professional finish. Perform auto body repair work as needed, including dent removal and surface preparation. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and detailing. Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of painted surfaces. Buff and polish vehicles to achieve a high-gloss finish post-painting. Handle heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and expectations. Assist with auto estimating for paint jobs and repairs, ensuring accurate assessments of time and materials required. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects, applying mechanical knowledge where necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in welding and mechanical knowledge is advantageous. Strong skills in auto body repair, auto painting, detailing, buffing, and handling auto glass are essential. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and airless paint spraying equipment is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job responsibilities. Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience in auto estimating is a plus but not required. A background in mechanic work or auto restoration will be beneficial for this role.
