Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dispensary experience Educate customers on different cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and topicals, through engaging product demos Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences and needs, upselling when appropriate to enhance their experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product visibility Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment to keep the dispensary well-stocked and inviting Uphold compliance with all state regulations and safety protocols related to cannabis sales and handling Communicate effectively with team members via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to ensure smooth operations Support supervising staff by providing guidance on customer interactions and product knowledge when needed

Skills

Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with strong customer service skills Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions Ability to perform product demos confidently while explaining features clearly Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills to engage customers professionally and courteously Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and store presentation best practices Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining attention to detail during busy hours Excellent phone etiquette for answering inquiries and scheduling appointments or follow-ups Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations involving sales totals, discounts, or inventory counts
