At Superior Hospice, we understand that comfort can come in many forms--sometimes, it has four legs and a wagging tail. We are seeking volunteers with certified therapy dogs who want to bring peace, joy, and companionship to patients in their final chapter of life.

Volunteer Duties:

Make scheduled visits with your therapy dog to patient homes or care facilities Foster meaningful one-on-one connections with patients and families Serve as a calming presence, supporting emotional well-being and reducing anxiety Collaborate with hospice team members to align visits with care goals Adhere to pet safety, hygiene, and hospice protocols at all times

Volunteer Qualifications:

Certification through an approved therapy animal organization is required Compassionate, respectful, and comfortable engaging with hospice patients Willingness to complete hospice volunteer training Able to maintain clear, compassionate communication with team and families
