prn position 20-40 hrs per week with flex hours
Pay Range
$26.10 - $39.15
Essential Functions
Reviews and/or abstracts and collects follow-up data from CPN practices.
Codes data using ICD-O-3, AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, SEER Summary Staging manual, and FORDS.
Completes follow-up for all living patients and performs case finding duties.
Coordinates Oncology Quality Assurance activities. Ensures all activities meet ACOS guidelines.
Ensures Quality control of data standards are met.
Understands and helps maintain ten standard books from ACOS used for survey/program approval.
Understands mechanics of running statistical reports and graphs for physicians.
Provides back-up for Cancer Conferences and is knowledgeable in AHEC procedures.
Physical Requirements
Fast-paced office environment and various interruptions. Must be able to concentrate in such an environment. Involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, walking and pushing/pulling cart of 60lbs.
Education, Experience and Certifications
CTR or RHIT preferred. Must have Associate Degree in a healthcare field or graduate of Cancer Registry specific degree program. CTR Certification must be obtained within three years from hire date. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent verbal and communication skills needed. Basic report-running skills.
