Hours: Full-time (40 HPW)
Location: Manhattan, NY
Position Summary:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, supervising assigned officers, and ensuring all post orders and safety procedures are followed. The supervisor will act as the primary point of contact for the Operations Desk, handle incident response, and maintain a secure and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise security officers assigned to various posts, ensuring compliance with post orders and company policies.
Conduct inspections of posts to verify readiness, cleanliness, and proper staffing.
Serve as the liaison between officers, Operations Desk, and management regarding any incidents or deficiencies.
Review and verify daily activity reports, memo book entries, and shift handoffs.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, coordinating appropriate action and follow-up.
Monitor access control systems and CCTV operations, ensuring functionality and proper usage.
Provide on-the-job coaching and corrective action as needed to maintain performance standards.
Maintain detailed shift logs, inspection reports, and incident summaries.
Ensure all officers are properly relieved and accounted for at shift change.
Requirements:
Valid NYS Security Guard License
Valid NYS Fire Life & Safety Director (F-89 or equivalent) certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a security environment required
Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Must be reliable, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
