The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Cage Cashiers to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. Cage Cashiers h andle a large amount of currency, cash checks, redeems tickets, vouchers, table games chip to guests in a professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn t include any potential tipped earnings.

Minimum pay rate: $11.95 / hour

Responsibilities

• Handle large sums of money in an accurate manner, including validating tickets for guests and paying accordingly, distributing cash to associates for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers\' checks, providing check approval, check cashing service, and cash advance services.
• Maintain an accurate count of banks.
• Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor.
• Issue and redeem chips, process chip fills and credits.
• Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure a smooth operation.
• Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Experience handling large amounts of money.
• Six months cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent organization and guest service skills.
• Excellent math skills including addition and subtraction.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds.
• Exposure to secondhand smoke.
• Exposure to high volume noise.
