Position: Cafeteria Monitor (Part-Time)
Supervisor: Principal
Work Site: The Main Street Academy; College Park, GA
Job Summary:
The Cafeteria Monitor is responsible for managing a safe, clean, efficient and pleasant dining environment while monitoring student behavior during meal service. Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria and the flow of meal service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities will be to manage a safe, clean, efficient, and pleasant dining environment
- Interact with students, staff, and parents in a professional manner at all times
- Develop policies and procedures for the cafeteria with Teachers and Assistant Principals
- Assist with any preparation of the cafeteria before students arrive
- Move continuously through the cafeteria to monitor students\xe2\x80\x99 behavior and assist with student needs
- Assist in cleaning tables between classes
- Report behavior issues directly to the teacher
- Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time \xe2\x80\x93 Teachers must be present in the cafeteria to retrieve their class
- Other light duties as assigned by Principal, Operations, or Food Service Manager
- Work hours between 6:30 a.m. \xe2\x80\x93 1:30 p.m. (Could vary based on school needs)
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Experience with proper food safety and sanitation procedures for food service
- Knowledgeable about meal requirements; understand federal, state, and local program regulations
