Job Description

Lakeside Cafe is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen operations, catering services, and coordination between our cooperative and cafe.

Overview

Lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional prepared foods and catering services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service. This role combines hands-on kitchen management with supervisory responsibilities and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations including staff scheduling, customer service and food production Manage all catering services and events Coordinate logistics and deliveries between the cooperative and Lakeside Cafe Supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff Control food costs through strategic ordering, inventory management, and portion control Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety standards
Required Qualifications

Food service supervisory experience ServSafe certification Proven buying and ordering experience Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for deliveries Strong knife and cooking skills Familiarity with natural foods Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for entire shift and work long hours as needed Must regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in hot, noisy environments

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
