We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Kitchen Lead to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and quality assurance
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless customer service experience
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages or waste
Supervise shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak hours
Oversee food presentation, portion control, and adherence to menu specifications
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and manage cash handling procedures
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new offerings or improvements based on customer feedback
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant supervision within casual dining or fast-food environments
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent leadership skills with prior staff training and team management experience
Ability to manage inventory control and budgeting processes effectively
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Culinary background with experience in food production, catering, or banquet services is advantageous
Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety protocols
Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may include weekends or holidays as needed
