Join us at TFI Caf\xc3\xa9 and help us serve delicious coffee in a bar with a historic focus! TFI Caf\xc3\xa9 is a soon-to-open daytime caf\xc3\xa9 program located in the Book Hill area of Georgetown, D.C. It is the morning counterpart to The Fountain Inn, a cocktail and whiskey bar that opens in the space in the evening. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about guest experience and coffee to join our opening team. Candidates must have at least one year of hospitality experience and should be confident in their abilities to provide exemplary service to each and every guest. Communication skills are a must, as is organization and professionalism. We believe that learning and growing is quintessential to our success as an establishment and we are excited to welcome more individuals into our space to learn and grow with us. • Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Maintain high-quality standards when preparing and serving beverages and food
• Be motivated to learn more about coffee and tea and the best methods to prepare them, following training built to TFI standards
• Run food and drinks to guests and bus tables
• Maintain a clean working environment by not only being aware of best practices, but suggesting and implementing them as well
• Must be willing to execute dish washing, as our team is small and all members are expected to clean and serve in full capacity
• Be aware of your own strengths and weaknesses and work alongside others
• Ability to scan a room and see what needs to be done and be able to put a mental priority list in place
• Work alongside management to establish and maintain a clean, healthy, efficient, and educational work environment
