Customer services is the primary responsibility of every employee. The cafe associate is responsible for food quality, food safety and cleanliness of the cafe, greeting and creating and extraordinary experience for our customers through excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Cafe Associate completes food preparation and performs basic kitchen responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the Cafe.
Greet Customers as soon as they approach the cafe counter
Engage in conversations with customers to promote food sales by helping them make informed choices
Check product expiration dates.
Cleanliness of cafe, walk-in and freezer shelves
Stock paper goods and food for cafe
Follows specific recipes and instructions to prepare staple menu items
Helps create new recipes with cost analysis and markup according to company guidelines
Unloads deliveries from truck and places in appropriate storage areas
Refills and Rotates walk-in, freezer, deli case and grab n go with fresh foods as needed
Maintains a neat and orderly work area by following food safety guidelines
Follows cleaning schedule
Completes opening and closing duties in accordance with approved procedures
Has open and honest communication with Cafe Manager and Store Manager
Reports any problems or discrepancies to MOD to include customer complaints and staff issues
Leadership and Professionalism:
Cafe Associate is to be professional at all times and provide appropriate leadership for the staff and the store.
Positive and calm communication with staff and customers is expected at all times.
Show the highest level of respect and integrity in day-to-day actions in the store with both employees and customers.
Do the job in a consistent, calm, and positive manner. Present an unflappable demeanor to other employees and to the customers at all times. It is never appropriate to yell or express frustration on the sales floor or to yell at an employee or a customer.
Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be ''hands on'' and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs, repetitive lifting up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
Requires the use of both arms and both hands with full range of motion
Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, twist, push and pull on occasional basis
Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb as needed
Must be able to reach overhead and away from the body
Must be able to stand for at least 90% of the time
Must be able to walk for at least 90% of the time
