Cafe General Manager

OFC Creations The Old Farm Cafe - Rochester, NY (Onsite)

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | $19-$21/hr + Benefits

Schedule includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and event shifts.

OFC's The Old Farm Cafe is seeking a hands-on Cafe General Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced, creative environment supporting OFC's performing arts programming. This role combines cafe leadership, catering oversight, event support, and seasonal food service operations.

What You'll Do

Lead, train, schedule, and support cafe staff; uphold excellent guest service. Oversee daily operations, opening/closing procedures, safety, and DOH compliance. Manage cash handling, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships. Create and update catering menus; assist with client needs for private rentals and events. Coordinate concessions and catering for performances, special events, and offsite venues. Support house management during shows, including ticketing assistance through the box office system. Maintain adjacent spaces (Studio B, rehearsal areas, hallways, exterior walkways) and manage equipment servicing. Interview and recruit cafe team members. Oversee camp lunch programs and weekly snack/smoothie operations for seasonal youth programs.

What You Bring

Experience in cafe, restaurant, catering, or hospitality leadership. Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Cash-handling and POS experience. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends. Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30-40 lbs. Reliable transportation.
