CAD Technician/Designer

Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a CAD Technician/Designer to join our team in Boise.

B&N CAD Technician/Designer Responsibilities:

• Support engineers with transportation projects in Boise and Portland and support project development in other regions
• Assist engineers and CAD designers with tasks such as drafting and design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages
• Support completion of engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel
• Support creation of construction specifications using Microsoft Word

Skills and Qualifications:

• Vocational school or associate degree in related program preferred. Civil Engineering Technician preferred
• Software experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3-D and Microsoft Office required
• MicroStation / ORD / Connect experience is a plus
• Ability to take verbal direction and implement into drawings and calculations to produce the final work
• Good communication skills and strong understanding of plan clarity
• Highly motivated to apply Civil Engineering Tech education
