Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for various construction and mechanical projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced CAD software to produce accurate 2D and 3D models. The CAD Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and standards. Proficiency in multiple CAD platforms and drafting techniques is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and Schematics tools. Create accurate mechanical designs and construction drawings aligned with project requirements. Assist in the development of 3D models and visualizations, including 2D animation when necessary. Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and technical specifications to produce precise drafting outputs. Collaborate with engineers and architects to review designs for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Update and revise drawings based on feedback or design changes throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and project documentation for easy retrieval.

Qualifications

Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and construction drafting processes. Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical sketches accurately. Familiarity with 2D animation techniques related to technical presentations is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience in civil engineering, mechanical design, or construction drafting is preferred. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in CAD drafting. Pay: $24.66 - $29.69 per hour
