Job Purpose:

This position works with Sales and Technical staff to interpret project specifications and drawings, determine system layout, and develop bill of materials with installation labor projections for a successful project

.

This role is in-person with All State Communications (a Beacon Communications division) located in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. The Salary Range for this Position: $25.00- $33.00 per hour -- dependent on relevant experience, education, and other factors?.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for design, layout of access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, voice/data, and paging systems. Assist with product data submittals and submission of shop drawings Utilize system knowledge, design tools and available resources to assist in system design tasks as needed. Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials. Ability to analyze data and situations and come up with creative solutions. Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Intermediate to advanced skill level for CAD program is necessary for this position. Demonstrated experience with design of low voltage electrical systems is preferred. Technical design experience of intercom, commercial sound and A/V is preferred. Experience in commercial security or fire alarm systems is a plus. Must be self-motivated and punctual. Must know Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel

Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date. Strong team player

Education, License and Experience:

CAD Certificate (with applicable experience) or 2/4-year degree Five years of experience in related field

Physical Requirements:

Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must maintain a clear background check in order to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements. Consistent, reliable, and timely attendance Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol. Travel Requirements:

Travel to customer jobsites when necessary
