Responsibilities



Manage the day-to-day operations of the CACFP, including monitoring meal reimbursements, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation. Provide comprehensive training and technical assistance to program participants, ensuring they understand federal regulations, application procedures, and reporting requirements. Conduct regular site visits to verify adherence to program standards, review meal service practices, and support continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with childcare providers, adult care facilities, and community organizations to facilitate enrollment processes and resolve any operational challenges. Maintain accurate records of participant data, meal counts, financial transactions, and compliance reports in accordance with federal guidelines. Stay current on updates to CACFP policies and regulations by engaging in ongoing professional development and training sessions. Prepare detailed reports on program performance, compliance status, and areas for enhancement to inform management decisions. Advocate for best practices in nutrition standards and promote educational initiatives that encourage healthy eating habits among program participants.

Skills



Strong knowledge of federal nutrition programs, specifically the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), including regulations, reimbursement procedures, and recordkeeping requirements. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills capable of providing clear guidance, training, and technical assistance to diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to conduct site visits, assessments, and compliance reviews confidently and professionally. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data collection, report writing, and problem-solving to support program improvement efforts. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
