Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various cable systems, ensuring that all services meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer networking and cable technology, with hands-on experience in cabling and field service.

Duties

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable systems including fiber optics and copper cabling. Utilize hand tools to ensure proper installation and functionality of cables. Conduct field service tasks to resolve customer issues related to telecommunication services. Perform fiber splicing as needed to connect various cable systems effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Document all installations and repairs accurately for record-keeping purposes. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.

Requirements

Proficiency in cabling principles and practices. Experience with hand tools commonly used in cable installation and maintenance. Knowledge of telephone systems and their integration with cable services is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical systems related to telecommunications. Experience in cabling techniques, including fiber splicing, is highly desirable. Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

This is a 1099 contractor position. You will not be considered a W-2 employee. Contractors are responsible for their own tax withholdings and do not receive company-provided benefits.

This role requires a reliable personal vehicle that can support a ladder rack, as transporting equipment (e.g., ladders and tools) is necessary.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
