Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires a strong understanding of cable technology and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, including fiber optic and coaxial cables
- Use hand tools, such as screwdrivers and pliers, to perform tasks
- Utilize specialized equipment, including voltmeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Utilize computer networking knowledge to configure and troubleshoot network connections
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to resolve complex issues
- Work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Communicate with customers via telephone and telecommunicate effectively
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service calls and maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with Cisco routers and Ethernet connections

Skills

- Strong understanding of cable technology and its applications
- Proficiency with hand tools and specialized equipment
- Experience with computer networking and configuration
- Knowledge of Cisco routers and Ethernet connections
- Experience in a field service environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers via telephone and telecommunicate
- Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Experience with service technician roles and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
