The Butler County Infant Toddler Services Program Coordinator ensures the quality, stability, and consistency of the programs and services offered and manages the day-to-day operations of the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES)
Ensures the quality, stability, and consistency of the programs and services offered to ages birth to three, and their families.
Supervises the daily operations of the program and the staff within the department.
Establishes and maintains compliance with guidelines and regulations by overseeing community and state agencies (i.e., KDHE, KDADS, SCDDO, etc.).
Works closely with Human Resources in hiring, orientation, personnel and performance situations.
Conducts regular staff meetings and communicates expectations and performance standards effectively.
Organizes, prioritizes, and works within deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
Specialist and/or Special Education Supervisor Certificate preferred.
Two or more years of supervision experience preferred.
Prior experience working with children and youth with special needs.

STATUS:
Full-time, 260 days worked annually, Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends and evenings.
WORK PACE:
Self-paced, requiring the ability to think and act quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
May require frequent extended work days. Requires some travel between RUI sites, other community agencies, and throughout the state.
Sitting: 6 - 7 hours in an 8 hour work shift; may occasionally alternate to standing or walking.
Standing: 1 - 2 hours in an 8 hour work shift. Alternates to sitting on a frequent basis
