Business Systems Analyst II - Salesforce

General Position Summary



The Business System Analyst II - (BSA) plays a critical role in delivering successful solutions by partnering with business and technology groups to elicit requirements and manage the design and development of CRM-related functionalities. The BSA is responsible for all aspects of planning, developing, implementing and managing application software initiatives across all areas of the business with regards to the entire CRM ecosystem. The BSA is also responsible for continued improvement of CRM processes and production support for the functional areas served.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities



Collaborates with functional owners to understand business needs and implement applications and/or application enhancements using industry best practices. Defines and enhances methodologies and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement. Develops productive relationships with business leaders and respective functional leads across the organization to influence how CRM applications can enable new sources of value. Plans and manages small to large project initiatives to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe. Carries out project coordination activities and acts as a liaison between applications team and functional owners within the enterprise and facilitates meetings with constituents. Coordinates user acceptance testing. Understands existing third-party systems pertaining to the CRM ecosystem and works closely with third-party vendors including outsourced resources, implementation partners, and consultants to implement new projects and perform production support. Partners with Salesforce and ERP teams for small and large-scale engagements and helps to ensure adherence to the enterprise architecture. Manages the configuration and setup of the CRM-related solutions using the prescribed change management processes. Aids efforts to keep the business systems stable and improve performance through best practices in enterprise master data management, data integration, and underlying information infrastructure components. Understands CRM data architecture and flows and ensures existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise. Helps develop analytical, ad-hoc and exception reports for business efficiency. Performs basic-to-advanced administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, automation flow and other routine tasks. Performs regular internal system audits and preparation for upgrades.
Provide bi-weekly documentation detailing the progress made in the prior two weeks toward onboarding activities, developing process and technical proficiencies, areas where specific challenges are either being overcome or where help is needed, developing relationships both on the Technology team as well as with business constituents and/or vendors, and planned activities toward these ends for the coming two weeks.

Specific Job Requirements



High levels of personal integrity when conducting the professional affairs of the organization and dealing with sensitive and confidential data relating to risks and costs. Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources. Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business, technology, and interpersonal communications concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff and business stakeholders. Must have strong functional knowledge in areas that may include customer service, sales & marketing, sales operations, quality and/or other functions within a CRM environment, especially with Salesforce.com. Must have proven expertise in Salesforce.com and be able to manage configurations and setups in the Salesforce environment. Should be able to manage customer expectations regarding scope, schedule, and budgetary parameters. Documented history of successfully driving projects to completion. Engage with business leaders and end-users to understand the requirements as well as facilitate and collaborate with various groups to outline processes & application designs to improve efficiency. Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate moderate-to-complex requirements. Strong customer service orientation. Should be able to identify and prioritize IT-Tickets (production support), IT Requests (all other requested applications activity), technical and functional requirements. Strong analytical, data-processing and problem-solving skills. Skill at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Comfortable working in situations where conflicting priorities, ambiguity, and/or opinions must be managed professionally. Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption. Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, automation flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity. Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality. Strong data management abilities, including experience in mass data loads, upserts/inserts/deletes of SFDC data.



Education and Experience Requirements



Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related degree, or equivalent experience.

Three to five years of experience as a business systems analyst within a Salesforce.com environment.

Experience working with Service Cloud. Experience with Field Service a plus. Experience in working with complex global organizations, satisfying needs of diverse users, meeting competing and sometimes conflicting priorities. Advanced skills and knowledge of Salesforce.com system administration. Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred. Demonstrated history of working on solutions of increasing scope, size and complexity in the Salesforce environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and concepts in ERP solutions such as Oracle is a plus.
