Citi\xe2\x80\x99s Innovation labs and Document Master Central is a global organization part of Information Services Group (ISG) and Institutional Client Group (ICG) at Citi. The organization is focused on delivering cutting edge solutions to Citi\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Markets, Securities Services and Banking lines of businesses.

The Business Operations Manager \xe2\x80\x93 C13 Location: NJ/NY will be part of the Global Operations Division at Citi Global Innovation Lab and the Document Master Central Organization. He/she will drive the end-to-end Business Operations activities including monitoring our organization\xe2\x80\x99s functions and building processes, metrics, implement best practices to meet our business needs

Key objectives of this role:

  • Lead business operations processes for the organization and implement best practices where needed to improve efficiency
  • Track business results and organizational matrixes, performing cost-benefit analyses and monitoring organizational KPIs.
  • Execute and overseeing all operations processes, reporting and measurements
  • Execute the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Own a broad and comprehensive understanding of multiple systems, theories and practices related to banking
Key daily responsibilities:
  • Execute day-to-day activities and routines required to run the business operations for the organization
  • Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise
  • Ensure all systems, processes and reporting operate smoothly and align with the organization quality standards
  • Maximize the efficiency of all business procedures and ensure end-to-end processes completion
  • Establish production KPIs and conduct quality assessments
  • Build processes that meet business objectives and ensure compliance
  • Monitor financial/organizational data and recommend solutions that will improve efficiency
  • Consider the needs of external and internal stakeholders and incorporate them into new plans plan
  • Work with key stakeholders in business and technology to build and manage relationships, addressing all aspects of the relationship governance: providing regular updates, exercises, and reports
  • Work in partnership with the Global Office to execute operational process and provide accurate status/reporting to stakeholders and senior management
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Lead a team of global employees, providing strategic and tactical direction, coaching and developing talents, evaluating performance and making recommendations for career path forward
  • Asses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Academic degree (tech oriented \xe2\x80\x93 advantage) MBA (is a plus)
  • 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years of operations/Chief-of Stuff experience
  • Recognizes the challenge of communication with remote team members and takes action to overcompensate
  • Demonstrated experience in operations management/Chief of Stuff in the financial sector (must)
  • Demonstrated experience in program management of technology products in the financial sector (Advantages)
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships and influencing all levels of technology and business organizations
  • Broad understanding of banking, banking technology and operations management
  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Business Operations Manager, Project Manager, Chief of Stuff or PMO (managing teams and strategic cross-functional projects advantage)
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Data analytics skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Superior Planning & Organization skills
  • Excellent Workflow and Process Management skills/experience
  • Strong ability to influence without authority
