Our Impact:

Our team helps lead the work of the researchers, modelers and our model communities who use powerful, machine-learning methods to build the models that guide critical functions such as funding loans, valuation, and predicting default and loss severity. The models implemented in MEDA (Modeling, Econometrics, Data Science and Analytics) are the \xe2\x80\x98heartbeat of Freddie.\xe2\x80\x99 MEDA cleans, aggregates, and prepares large amounts of data used to develop models and policies that support the Single-Family divisions.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Support the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting of operational risk of assigned business areas.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of standards, procedures, processes, and requirements across the department.
  • Supervise and report on progress, risk issues, benefits, and outcomes, etc.
  • Build strong partnerships and liaise within the department and with other business areas and groups to provide needed support, information / data, and resolutions to an assortment of requests.
  • Support the business management team in day-to-day operations, which may cover activities such as facilities management, space planning & moves, and process development & support.
  • Lead other business management team members and department members in change initiatives.
  • May also assist with performance & budget tracking, forecasting, and monitoring, as well as strategic business planning and organizational change initiatives.
  • Provide resolutions to an assortment of issues, tasks, and problems.
  • Supervise and report on progress, issues, benefits, and outcomes, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years related experience with 2+ years risks & controls experience.
  • College Degree or equivalent experience; sophisticated studies / degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in office operations in the financial services industry and mortgage industry preferred.
  • Experience with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong eye for business with an understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships and work optimally across all levels and stakeholders towards a common vision or goal and deliver results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Sophisticated change management, process improvement, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work optimally with continuous change and short deadlines.
  • Proactive thinker / problem solver and has the ability to think holistically and creatively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
