Business Intelligence Analyst I

works with various stakeholders to understand business issues and recommend approaches to ensure business questions are answered properly while working out of the

Central Office - Indianapolis, IN.

This position will use data manipulation tools to analyze data and identify trends; update and maintain the data warehouse structure and integrity. The position plays a key role in the standardization of data integrity and the use of data to drive decision-making for continuous improvement of operational performance. Proactively participates in and makes recommendations for system refinements within the finance function of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the curating enterprise BI governance materials. Provide technical support as needed within the team and amongst users. Manage daily/weekly/monthly analytics reporting to enable the business to operate transparently and efficiently while capitalizing on insights to track revenue and expense and provide. Support the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the business, including consolidating KPIs and metrics across our business. Help design executive dashboards for data-informed decision making. Identify business trends utilizing real-time data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to users and then follow up on results. Customize views for commonly queried data sets and other applications for utilization and quick data retrieval. Look for trends in reported issues and create long-term solutions vs. short-term fixes. Perform Intermediate level data mining and data modeling by combining multiple data sources from various systems and databases using BI tools. Manage and execute small analytics projects and project tasks. End to end execution of metric and dashboard creation. Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data. Ability to work individually and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate data into digestible information to improve corporate processes. Write SQL queries and stored procedures for reports and dashboard development. Proficiency SQL (DML, DDL, DCL, commands), Dashboards and Business Intelligence Tools(Tableau, Power BI, etc) and Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas, data imports, etc.). Understanding of relational databases and familiarity with statistics. Understanding of Financial data and KPIs to help provide reports to drive answers. Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams. Inquisitive mindset, with exceptional problem-solving ability along with a passion for big data. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. Experience running projects to analyze business issues or challenges.

Qualifications:

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Applied Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics or related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science or Data Analytics preferred.

Experience:

At least three years relevant work experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Business Intelligence (BI), or a comparable position handling large, complex data required.

Ability to deal effectively with diverse roles, backgrounds, and expectations. Project management skills including coordination, communication and adherence to budget and completion goals, prioritization, and troubleshooting. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
