Position: Business Development Specialist Reports to: Business Manager

CeJay Enterprises of Louisiana is seeking a Business Development Specialist to serve as a liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams, identifying and developing new business opportunities across multiple organizations. This role will focus on building relationships with potential customers, securing sponsorships, driving sales, and enhancing strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in lead generation, sales development, and customer relationship management. This person will contact potential clients, develop long-term relationships, and ensure after-sales service, ultimately boosting revenue and contributing to the long-term growth of CeJay Enterprises and its affiliated organizations.
The Business Development Specialist will also play a key role in managing business growth strategies for the following brands: National Association of Gospel Radio, Community Caregivers of Northwest Louisiana, Urban Roots Entertainment, Charles Johnson Ministries, Johnson Investments & Partnerships, and Tax Gurus of Louisiana.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Sales Development
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic approaches to attract potential clients.
Research, engage, and qualify leads from marketing campaigns, social media, events, and outreach efforts.
Initiate and maintain customer relationships, ensuring consistent follow-up.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
Maintain an organized CRM database of leads, prospects, and client interactions.
Sponsorship & Partnership Development
Develop and present sponsorship proposals to secure corporate partnerships and advertising deals.
Cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and funding partners.
Ensure sponsorship agreements are properly executed, including brand recognition and benefits fulfillment.
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to align sponsorship and promotional efforts.
Customer Relationship Management & After-Sales Support
Serve as a primary contact for business partners and customers, addressing inquiries and concerns.
Ensure proper after-sales service, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Develop customer retention strategies, fostering long-term business relationships.
Handle renewals and upselling opportunities for existing clients.
Business & Fundraising Strategy Execution
Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and execute revenue-generating strategies.
Identify new funding sources, grants, and revenue opportunities for nonprofits and businesses.
Assist in fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations, including donor engagement and campaign planning.
5. Event Sales & Business Promotions
Support event planning teams by securing sponsorships, vendor participation, and exhibitor sales.
Assist in the promotion of conferences, fundraisers, concerts, and productions for various entities.
Attend networking events, community gatherings, and business expos to promote CeJay Enterprises.
Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, fundraising, or sponsorship management.
Proven ability to develop leads, close deals, and build strong customer relationships.
Experience in creating sponsorship proposals, fundraising, and securing financial partnerships.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with potential clients and sponsors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, CRM software, and sales tracking tools.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and drive revenue growth.
Strong networking skills with the ability to engage corporate and community leaders.
Availability to travel for meetings, networking events, and conferences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
