Drive a key growth industry that will make a significant impact on the bottom line in this high visibility role. In this diverse business development position, you will work with end users, OEMs, distributors, and system integrators with a focus on account retention and expansion as well as on new business development for tire related companies as part of our Digital Factory/ Factory Automation division.- This will will include growing Siemens market share in the Tire Industry in the Easter part of the USA.

We are looking for a Business Development Professional \xe2\x80\x93 Tire & Rubber Industry.

This position will be a fully remote role with a preferred location of North Carolina or South Carolina.

Role Description

  • Engage tire and rubber machinery manufacturers to increase acceptance of the Siemens brand in the US Market, while providing consultation as the industry specialist for this segment.
  • Build relationships with key Tire end customers and involving targeted OEMs, Solution Partners and Machine Builders.
  • Pursuit of warm leads or current customers, and cold calling, and mining for new business.
  • Complete focus on the Tire vertical market with an emphasis on driving this function.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to grow sales at targeted accounts.
  • Partner with our global colleagues to expose global tire companies to US based machinery OEMs to influence the export market for the OEM
  • Partner with product management to understand where the Siemens product families fit into the Tire segment.
  • Support transparency in the business by tracking opportunities, sales and other relevant information in the Siemens current CRM tool
  • Develop marketing concepts and drive branding awareness in the Tire Industry
You\xe2\x80\x99ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering (Preferred Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 5 to 8 years in an engineering sales or business development role using motion control, drives and automation products
  • 35-50% Travel required and the possibility of very limited weekend travel
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Multiple year\xe2\x80\x99 s experience in the tire and/or rubber industry; specifically, business development and/or sales experience with a manufacturer or distributor of motion control products within the automotive, tire or rubber industry with strong industry knowledge in relation to the machinery builders would be an ideal fit.
  • A detailed understanding of the automation and controls organization and their processes

  • The pay range for this position is $87,000.00 to $149,200.00 and the annual incentive target is15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
