Position Summary
The Business Development Director is responsible for acquiring, managing, and collecting revenue from event sponsorships, private receptions, advertising for the Stadium's program book and dining guide, as well as overseeing fundraising events, donations, and the legacy wall campaign.
Principal Accountabilities
Identify opportunities and initiate contact with prospective community partners for sponsorships, program book advertising, Buy Four promotion, and the dining guide.
Build and steward strong, positive, and lasting relationships with sponsors, advertisers, and community partners.
Develop and grow new relationships with local businesses to garner additional support for the theatre.
Travelling locally is required to maintain regular contact with clients, deliver marketing materials, and attend events for fundraising research and community relationship development.
Generate sales contracts and invoices; ensure timely revenue collection.
Maintain an accurate database of all sponsors, advertisers, and donors, including financial and support history.
Develop and expand Membership and Legacy Wall donor programs.
Manage and execute fundraising/special events such as Auction for the Arts, Beer Fest, Maker's Market, Stadium Theatre Tours, and Wine, Women & Jewelry.
Serve as the primary contact for VIP "Behind the Curtain" experiences; delegate related tasks as necessary.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to ensure accuracy and consistency in advertisements and sponsorship recognition.
Attend networking and community events to enhance visibility and partnerships.
Coordinate and attend private receptions, managing sponsor requests in collaboration with caterers or the Hospitality Department.
Process and record donation requests.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Abilities
3-5 years of professional sales experience.
Bachelor's degree
preferred
, or
equivalent professional experience
considered.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Proven success in roles requiring direct client contact and relationship management.
Excellent
organizational skills
and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail.
Experience in
event planning
and
customer service
strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
Position Type:
Full Time, flexibility required, scheduled nights and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
