We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Administrator to join our church staff! Duties
Handle bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks using QuickBooks to track expenses, process invoices, and maintain financial records accurately
Support human resources functions such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel files, payroll processing, and providing proper tax filing documents to employees and contract service providers
Coordinate vendor management activities, including procurement, invoicing, and maintaining positive relationships with service providers
Organize filing systems--both digital and physical--to ensure easy retrieval of documents and compliance with record-keeping standards
Handle all facets of employee compensation based on information from Personnel Committee and the Valley Preschool Director
Assure adherence to church policies regarding use and protection of church assets including church insurance, office equipment contracts, and criminal background checks.
Prepare financial reports including month end balances, quarterly giving statements, financial statments for the General Fund, Property Fund, Mission Endowment Fund and Valley Foundation
Assist in accumulating budget data and formalizing budget documents for church leadership boards
Ensure postage and office supplies are available and properly tracked
Support daily office operations in collaboration with the Publications and Office Administrator, including front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and greeting visitors with professionalism and warmth

Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality, express self clearly and with confidence, be responsive, provide advanced customer service skills and effectively deal with public, staff, and church officers on the telephone, over digital communications, or in person.

Writing, data posting, editing and proofing documents and reports
Work independently and make noncritical decisions in the absence of specific directions.
Demonstrated ability to handle vendor relationships and manage budgets effectively
Required Education/Certification/Skills:

2 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, which includes the role of a full-charge accountant utilizing a medium-size financial system such as Quick Books
