Paratransit Drivers Needed in Hyattsville, Maryland!

Starting Salary - $20.75/hr.

Transdev is hiring Paratransit Drivers in Hyattsville, MD to provide passengers with disabilities with safe, friendly transportation to and from their destinations in vehicles designed for wheelchair lifts, seats and other special access. We welcome candidates with experience in customer service or home health-care, who are able to provide high-quality customer care and satisfaction. Monday through Friday interviews from 9:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities: What you will be doing:

• Provide door-to-door transportation for passengers safely and efficiently
• Ensure passengers are properly secured and provide assistance with all entries and exits
• Greet passengers, accept fare payment and maintain a safe environment
• Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Other duties as required

Qualifications: Who you are:

• Must be at least 21 years old or older with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driving record and at least a 3 year driving history.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license in MD, DC, or VA for at least 3 years (provisional licenses will not be accepted).
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be punctual with an emphasis on your attendance.
• Must be able to work all shifts: day, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must submit to drug testing, DOT physical, and an extensive criminal background check.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather.
• Must be able to complete driver training.

Physical Requirements Include Ability to:

• Sit for extended periods of time.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects, or equipment above shoulder level without assistance.
• Move up and down stairs easily.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
