SUMMARY:
Responsible for preparing bulk ingredients for the production of tomato and/or puree. Duties will include, but not be limited to safe operation of industrial fork truck, tomato paste processing machines, staging of ingredients, breakdown of containers, loading recyclable material onto tractor trailers, cleaning floors and food making equipment, manually loading and unloading raw materials, and maintaining simple paperwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Perform manual labor which supports continuous operation of the production lines. Such duties may include but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, and washing of floors and equipment.
Loading and unloading of equipment, materials, production components and/or raw materials and ingredients.
Scan raw ingredients used for production with Microsoft D365. Return left over raw ingredients back into inventory using Microsoft D365.
Operation of production machines and equipment. Rotate duties with other workers both within the assigned team and at other locations in the plant as required.
Performs simple quality inspections of product, materials and ingredients to assure compliance with standards.
Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.
Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.
Monitors brix system and standardizing tanks to assure conformance to standards.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Work safely.
Successful completion of forklift license to operate industrial lifts.
Perform visual inspections of martials and products.
Record simple data on paper and/or via keyboard.
Read and understand simple written instructions.
Excellent communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong computer literacy skills.
Willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
Ability to exhibit a professional business like appearance and demeanor.
Must be able to pass a post offer pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment background check, and pre-employment physical.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical aspects of the job as performed in an 8-hour workday.
Lift up to 50 pounds independently.
