Position available with the Aviation Department, Field Maintenance division, 154 Tokyo St., Kansas City International Airport. Department/Division: Aviation Department, Field Maintenance division
Salary Range: $18.37 - $28.01/ hourly
Work Location: 154 Tokyo St., Kansas City International Airport
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; mandatory overtime based on operational need.

Responsibilities





Inspects buildings to determine that regular custodial and other cleaning duties have been performed. Areas of responsibility will include all building associated with Facilities Maintenance, including the Power Plant; Field Maintenance; and Bus Operations. Sweeps, mops, waxes and polishes floors. Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets for disposal at trash compactor. Checks and removes debris from sidewalks, smoking bins, bus shelters, and vestibules. Operates floor scrubbing machines, battery operator sweepers, motor driven floor polishers, power-operated tile and grout cleaner, and general hand work associated with the cleaning of buildings. Oversees and participates in carpet cleaning, washing walls, stainless steel baseboards, window/glass washing, dusting furniture and other articles. Performs snow removal activities. Unstops plugged lavatories, sanitizes restrooms and fixtures. Maintains and replenishes stock levels, to include ordering from Aviation Central Warehouse, as required and completes daily restroom inspection log.

Qualifications





REQUIRES 6 months of experience in the custodial care and limited general maintenance of buildings. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Must successfully complete a 10-year FAA background check. For Aviation\'s position, must possess a valid state-issued driver\'s license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
