This position helps to maintain the building infrastructure and grounds, ensuring the church and childcare are fully functional and able to serve their congregants, the children, and community. All job tasks are completed onsite, at the church, Monday-Friday with periodic weekend hours. This position takes work direction and supervision from the Business Administrator.
Responsibilities
Work under direction of Business Administrator to address building repairs and maintenance. Tasks will vary from week to week but will include:
Building and Grounds maintenance:
Plumbing - Repair/Replace toilet flush valves, faucets, disposals, snake sinks, toilets, etc.
Electrical - Change bulbs, outlets, and fixtures
HVAC - Change filters, clean boilers, grease pumps and maintain temperature controls
Maintenance of building surfaces - patch, fill, texture, paint
Ground maintenance: mowing, weeding, trimming, debris removal, sidewalk snow removal
Light cleaning to include spot cleaning, carpet/upholstery shampooing
Room Set Up and scheduling for events including tables, chairs, A/V equipment, vacuuming and wiping down surfaces, removing trash
Building Access and Security - monitor and manage fob access; provide keys
Provide on-site presence and assistance
Miscellaneous tasks: hanging pictures, signs, decorations, assembly and installation of equipment, some light cleaning such as window cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
General duties as assigned.
Requisite Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Able to pass a background check
Able to use basic hand tools (drills, sanders, hammers, screw drivers)
Comfortable working on ladders
Three years of work as building maintenance technician or equivalent experience
Licenses in building trades a plus, not required
Computer systems and related IT skills a plus
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
