Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Building Inspector to ensure construction projects meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, quality control, and inspection procedures. This role involves evaluating construction sites, reviewing blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with contracts and building codes to maintain high standards of safety and quality across various projects.

Duties



Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to verify adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Review blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards. Perform quality control checks throughout the construction process to identify defects or deviations from approved plans. Collect data related to construction progress, safety compliance, and quality metrics for reporting purposes. Collaborate with construction management teams to address issues identified during inspections and recommend corrective actions. Monitor pipeline installations and other specialized construction activities to ensure proper procedures are followed. Evaluate contracts and project documentation to confirm scope adherence and contractual obligations are met. Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective measures taken during each site visit. Assist in training or mentoring junior inspectors or team members when necessary.

Skills



Strong knowledge of construction processes, site safety protocols, and building codes. Experience in construction inspection, quality control, and data collection techniques. Excellent analysis skills to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Ability to read and understand construction contracts and management plans. Proficiency in assessing construction site conditions using schematics and technical documentation. Effective communication skills for reporting findings clearly to stakeholders. Familiarity with pipeline inspection procedures is a plus. Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality assurance throughout the construction lifecycle.
Pay: $21.92 - $26.39 per hour

Expected hours: 29.5 per week

Work Location: In person
