Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Medical Cannabis Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right products to meet their needs while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere and educating customers about our offerings.

Requirements

Applicant must be 21 years of age or older - per state law

Applicant must be able to pass a state required background check. Violent felonies or theft of anykind will automatically disqualify an applicant - per state law (info in this can be found below and must be included with your application.)

*Background checks must be completed and approved by Genesis Farms Administration and are required annually while employed by Genesis Farms, LLC. in accordance with state law.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, informative shopping experience. Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs. Maintain knowledge of various strains, products, and consumption methods to effectively educate customers. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels, including stocking shelves and organizing products. Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Fill in schedule in the event team members are sick/take time off

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. Experience in retail sales, including familiarity with retail math concepts. Proficiency in using POS systems for transactions and inventory management. Ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer relationship. Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries over the phone. Knowledge of supervising techniques to assist in training new staff members effectively. Strong organizational skills for managing stock levels and maintaining cleanliness in the dispensary environment.
