About the Role:

MMS is growing and this role will support budget development and maintenance and improvement of pricing/budgeting tools and process within the Commercial Team. The Budget Developer will lead the development of budgets for both new projects and change orders. The successful candidate will be able to both lead budgets independently and support the more junior team members to develop budgets and increase skill in their roles within the larger global team. This role will be an important part of our global Commercial Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budgets for proposals, rebids, change orders, and payment schedules. Prepares and modifies budgets and rebids based on feedback received from SMEs.
  • Identify information for budget development and work closely with business development, operations, and proposal development team to prepare and finalize budgets.
  • Ensures budgets are in agreement with RFP, client specifications and communications, and internal assumptions.
  • Obtains third party quotes as needed.
  • Schedule and lead budget development calls with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategy calls to discuss customer requirements.
  • Support maintenance and improvements of existing budget tools in collaboration with Commercial Leadership, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of all commercial processes and be compliant with all processes and policies relating to the development of budgets and other relevant commercial operations functions.
  • Provide support and expertise to other Budget Developers in the delivery of assigned opportunities.
  • Support other proposals and contracts deliverables based on department priorities and workflow availability.
  • May support proposal and contract development.
  • May participate in customer meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 of proposals and budgeting experience in a CRO environment or similar environment. Minimum of 5 years for Senior level.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development process from preclinical through marketing approval
  • High proficiency with Excel
  • Experience using and updating pricing tools.
  • Knowledge of CRO Industry.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with operations, vendors, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers.
