Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Full-time Broach Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating broaching machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace applications. This position requires a strong understanding of broaching processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup:
  • Prepare and set up broaching machines according to job specifications and engineering drawings
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting fluids for each operation
  • Adjust machine parameters such as speed, feed rate, and depth of cut to optimize performance and ensure product quality
  • Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments before starting production
  • Machine Operation:
  • Operate various types of broaching machines, including horizontal, vertical, and surface broaching machines
  • Load and unload workpieces onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure fixturing
  • Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and consistency
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and replacing worn tooling
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime
  • Quality Control and Inspection:
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Verify that finished parts meet all dimensional and surface finish requirements specified in engineering drawings
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records
  • Identify and report any non-conforming parts or quality issues to supervisors or quality control personnel
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Report any safety concerns or potential hazards to supervisors immediately
  • Participate in regular safety training and meetings
