Black Box Bakery is looking for a skilled and reliable
Bread Baker
to join our team. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, perfect for someone who loves dough, fermentation, and delivering consistently excellent bread to our customers.
What You'll Do
Lead daily production of all breads, including:
Sourdough loaves
Specialty baguettes
Weekend/seasonal bread specials
Mix, shape, score, and bake breads according to bakery standards.
Manage fermentation schedules and ensure dough quality and consistency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory of bread ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Arrive on time and ready to work each day.
What We're Looking For
Experience with bread baking
Solid understanding of sourdough, fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple breads/timers at once.
Great work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Comfortable standing for 8-hour shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Passion for bread, craftsmanship, and quality.

Full-time position
8-hour shifts
$18.50/hour + tips
