Robert Mondavi had a vision to make world-class wine in California\xe2\x80\x99s Napa Valley. This was a revolutionary idea in the 1960s, but Mr. Mondavi believed that California and specifically Napa Valley had the potential to create beautiful wine capable of standing in the company of the world\xe2\x80\x99s finest. Located in Oakville, California, Robert Mondavi Winery and the To Kalon Vineyard are renowned for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, in addition to its Sauvignon Blanc grapes, from which Mr. Mondavi crafted his signature wine, Fum\xc3\xa9 Blanc. Today, the arch & tower of the winery serves a beacon to the Napa Valley and an icon known around the world.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director \xe2\x80\x93 DTC & Brand Management, the Brand Ambassador will be an outgoing and self-motivated representative of Robert Mondavi Winery. This role will engage with, support, and educate both consumers and specialized trade, including restaurants, sommeliers, and liquor store buyers in a variety of ways. The ideal candidate will build in-account and at-event relationships, will sell and provide support at on and off-premise accounts and will develop innovative methods to showcase and promote our world class wines.

Responsibilities

Identify and implement opportunities to drive sales and education in both on and off-premise accounts. Examples include, on premise and retail tastings, staff trainings, sampling staff, PR events, wine list placements, and wine dinners.

Develop reporting to track account visits and initiatives, sales targets, market performance (shipments, depletions, revenue, etc.) ensuring Robert Mondavi Winery has continual presence in top tier accounts.

Assist in supporting education events as needed (PR, press, influencers, etc)

Working with the Sales organization - Identify the right accounts suitable for high quality distribution and skillfully interact with them, while articulating the unique essence of the Robert Mondavi Winery portfolio.

Host events and experiences both on-site (at the winery/tasting room) and off-site for key trade and consumer initiatives nationally.

Fuel consumer engagement and acquisition into Robert Mondavi Winery consumer journey (on/off-prem, winery visitation, e-comm, wine club, etc.)

Develop and nurture strong relationships:

Local and regional accounts

Distributor sales team

CBI Commercial team

Brand and PR team

Robert Mondavi Winery Hospitality and DTC team

Robert Mondavi Winery Winemaking team

CBI and Distributor training: portfolio wine education, vintage transitions, brand trainings, and other key wine programs

Represent Robert Mondavi Winery at key trade events nationally, and select initiatives internationally.

Execute local sponsorships and PR events

Develop and maintain relationship with Brand, Hospitality, DTC, PR and Sales teams

Communicate successes to leadership and local distributors

Always looking for opportunities to add new flagship accounts

Cultivate and assist in development of brand education materials inclusive of selling material, brand modules and general content creation

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of wine sales/education experience

Bachelor\'s degree is preferred

Wine Certifications: WSET Level 3, MS, and/or MW preferred

Proven ability to educate and motivate sales

Excellent communication skills

Ability to persuade and influence

Strong storytelling capabilities

Must have extensive knowledge of the Wine Industry with a focus on the Luxury and Fine Wine Category

Competence on global wine market and specifically California/Domestic wines being distributed in the USA and International markets

Best in class knowledge of entire competitive set i.e. major producers across all main Wine Appellations

Must have a passion for wine, extensive wine education and knowledge with a focus on Luxury wines consumed globally

Strategic mindset for developing brand education materials for a global reach

Willing to travel, up to 50% (both domestically and international)

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Must be available for evening and weekend work from time to time

Able to travel to key cities within the USA (and select global markets)

Must have a valid driver\'s license

Minimum 21 years of age

Must be able to stand, walk, sit

Use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms

Climb or balance stairs/ladders

Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear

Must have close vision, distant vision, and ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

The salary range for this role is: $93,400.00 - $163,400.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee\xe2\x80\x99s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
